The child explains what they need: clean problems, no solutions. They understand what their tool is supposed to do.

Extend

They add a rule: "After ten problems, give me harder ones." The station grows with their skill.

Steer

They decide that solutions stay hidden until they've done the math themselves. The child steers their system.

The buddy takes the copying load, not the math. What the child is practicing, they keep practicing themselves. The tool is built for self-efficacy, not for shortcuts.

The tool requires an adult's Claude account; the software is made by Anthropic and rated 18+. The child uses it supervised, never in an account of their own. The technology is at an early stage, in research preview — and that's exactly why we accompany the setup personally.
